How Real Estate Agents Can Attract Clients with Instagram Reels in 2025.

As a real estate agent, you probably have social media profiles. Some of you might be active on Facebook, while most of you are likely on Instagram, or maybe even on both platforms. LinkedIn is also becoming an important platform for realtors these days.

Most real estate agents use Instagram and try to grow their profiles because they believe that building a large community on the platform will help them get consistent leads. This is true, but only if you focus on building a community with quality people.

The problem is that it’s becoming harder to grow on Instagram because most realtors are just posting simple house tour videos on their profiles. They don’t put effort into adding their voice to the reels, or showing their faces.

The irony is that some realtors want to build a personal brand, but they don’t want to show their faces. It’s like running for president but not wanting people to know who you are. That obviously doesn’t work.

I’ll definitely share some tips with you later in the article, but first, I want to talk about my experience growing a real estate profile on Instagram. I’ve tried it, faced some challenges, and still managed to get some good results.

How I Grew My Real Estate Instagram Page from 0 to 200 Followers?

Many people might stop reading this article when they see “200 followers” in the title. But I want you to keep reading because the results I’ve achieved might inspire you to start posting on Instagram. So, let’s start.

One day, I decided to create an Instagram profile focused on the real estate niche. I wanted to share content like home tours and educational posts, such as tips on what to keep in mind when buying or selling a house.

The problem was, I’m not a real estate agent, and I didn’t have my own content like home tour videos or listings. So, what options did I have? As you might have guessed, I started reposting content from other realtors and giving them credit in my captions. I did this as part of an experiment, but as a real estate agent, never make the mistake of posting others’ content.

If you post other realtors’ content on your profile, you won’t be able to build your personal brand or create a strong community. The key is to post your own content. Every realtor knows that, but it’s something worth remembering if you want to truly stand out and connect with your audience.

Since I’m not a real estate agent and didn’t want to build a personal brand in real estate, I started reposting other people’s content and giving them credit. I posted reels every day, but the problem is that Instagram’s algorithm is smart. It quickly figured out that I wasn’t posting my own original content.

That’s why Instagram wasn’t giving me the reach I expected. However, the real estate community on Instagram is really supportive. Other realtors started following me and even sharing their reels with me. I was gaining a few followers every day, but still not getting the results I had hoped for.

My reels were getting an average of 500 to 1k views, which felt really low, especially since in the past, I grew one of my pages from 0 to 65k followers and another from 0 to 15k, but those were in different niches. Slowly, I reached 150 followers on this real estate page.

My reels were getting around 500 to 1k views, which felt really low. In the past, I grew one of Instagram pages from 0 to 65k followers and another from 0 to 15k, but those were in different niches. Slowly, I managed to reach 150 followers on this real estate page.

Now, some of my reels started getting 2k or even 3k views, but the Instagram algorithm knows I’m not posting original content, and that’s why it’s not pushing my reels as much. But because I am just copying content and posting it on my page I am okay with that. I don’t have any Issues.

My profile had low engagement, so I didn’t have high expectations for it. But one day, I was shocked when I saw a comment on one of my reels. The comment said, “Hi Jasmine, could you please send me more info about this property. Interested.”

I’m not a realtor, so that comment wasn’t a lead for me or my business. But I realized something important: even with just 180 followers, I was still able to get leads by reposting other people’s content. So, it’s definitely possible for real realtors to generate leads through Instagram.

I will attach some images of the comment I received, along with other images showing how other realtors have commented on my reels, offering their support.

Now you can see how important Instagram is for you as a realtor in 2025. Even though I was reposting other realtors’ content with a really low reach, I was still able to generate leads. So, it’s definitely possible for you to get more eyeballs on your original content by posting it on Instagram and Facebook.

If you post your original content daily for one month on platforms like Instagram and Facebook, there’s really a very low chance you won’t see any results. I’m telling you this because I’ve already done it without using my own content, so you can definitely do this too.

How real estate agents can grow Instagram profile In 2025?

I don’t think growing your Instagram followers should be your main goal as a real estate agent. Instead, you should focus on creating more engaging reels and content to get more views. Generating leads from your content should be your main goal as a realtor.

But the thing is, how can you create engaging content for your profile that grabs attention? First, you need to make a plan. For example, if you have a home listed, you should either go there yourself or send a team member. Then, shoot a really good video of the house.

The video should cover everything about the house or property. After that, you need to write a proper script for your reel. Keep the script natural and engaging—don’t be too excited or nervous when speaking about the property. Just speak clearly and confidently about what makes the property special.

This is one type of video where you explain the home using your voice while showing the property. It requires more effort to create these types of reels. However, there are other types of videos you can make that don’t require as much effort. In fact, you can even hire someone to create these videos for you.

The second type of video doesn’t require you to add your voice. You can simply add good background music to your edited video and include all the information in the caption. If you want, you can use hashtags, but honestly, they’re not as important now.

When you create type 1 reels, the benefit is that it helps you build your personal brand. People get to know your voice and face, which builds trust with them. However, as I mentioned, it does require effort and your time.

When you create type 2 reels, it becomes harder to build your personal brand, but it’s much easier to create. Both types of reels get views, and many realtors mainly use these two types for their reels. Some realtors even post both types of reels.

The key to building a personal brand as a realtor is consistently providing valuable content and sharing glimpses of your lifestyle through your stories.

How Can Real Estate Agents Build a Personal Brand on Instagram in 2025?

Building a personal brand on Instagram isn’t easy because it takes more than just sharing property videos. To build a personal brand, you need to provide valuable and educational content. For example, you can create posts about real estate market updates, debunking common real estate myths, and much more. Make sure to research your topics.

Look at what successful realtors are doing and take inspiration from them. Many realtors who have built strong personal brands use Instagram Stories effectively. Stories are a great way to share glimpses of your daily life, like a photo of your lunch, you working on your laptop, or anything related to your personal lifestyle. Just make sure to balance sharing with protecting your privacy.

I hope you understand how useful Instagram can be for real estate agents. You don’t need to invest money in paid ads—you can generate leads organically.
